Why we do it?
Austin Stay n Play started with an idea from a local teacher right here in Austin. Kristin, AKA Miss Kristin or Miss Christmas, has always envisioned a different kind of learning center for helping little ones and their parents. "We strive to help our community stay connected by providing an educational, safe and stimulating environment for kids and parents. Watch your child flourish while making new friends and learning new concepts through fun activities. We figure most families eat, play, and work close to home, so why not learn , visit and stay connected close to home too!" Many visitors have met community neighbors they didn't even know had small children their child's age. Just by playing and visiting families are learning to stay connected! Austin Stay n Play is designed just like a preschool but parents stay and make new friends too!
What Happens at Our Play Center?
Parents Stay! Kids Play! We offer mommy and me programs, Mom's Day Out, toys, games, computers, movies, arts and crafts, books, indoor play, toddler yoga and much more! Parents visit and play with their kids along with FREE Wi-Fi, coffee, tea, and books. Watch your child flourish while making new friends and playing with other children. Parents can also find the support they need from other like minded parents. We offer a calendar of events so you know what's going on in our play center monthly. We don't have a waiting list yet, so just show up , pay a small admission fee, play, learn and visit!
Going Alone?
Don’t be nervous if going alone, you will find other parents are very friendly! This is a great way of meeting other parents with children your child's age. To find someone to go along with post a message on a meet up board or chat with other moms. Either alone or with friends come park yourself in our comfy chairs and watch you kids have fun! Stay and Visit While Your Kids Learn and Play!
Who are we?
We are hip, FUN and local to Austin! We are owned and operated by a local teacher with a unique approach for helping Austin families and their kiddos. Parents help their children learn important building blocks for elementary school in a preschool setting with the benefit of enjoying adult company all at the same time! All activities are educational, curriculum-based and led by certified elementary teachers! This type of setting gives children a chance to interact with other children while giving parents a chance to visit and connect with others in the community. We are simply a learning and social gathering place for parents, babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Come and play with us on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday by attending a class and playing afterwards or by just coming to play!
